at Cirebon, West Java

I visited my friend at Cirebon-West Java with three other friends. we went there from Jakarta by train for about three and half hours. take a look some pictures taken from that moment below:

my friend took us to Royal Palace in Cirebon called Keraton Kasepuhan.

around and inside Keraton Kasepuhan.

the amazing thing is the 3D painting of Prabu Siliwangi in background photo of us. if you see the painting from side (right/left) or from below, the painting will follow you. it means as if Prabu Siliwangi stare at you from his front. I search internet to see if there is painting taken from different sides, see this video if you curious about this, or you can go to Keraton Kasepuhan directly. ;)

not much that can be visited near my friend's house, so we try culinary original from Cirebon.

The first picture named nasi jamblang (local name is Sega Jamblang) is the rice wrapped in teak leaves (the leaves from Tectona grandis), the side dish are served buffet so you can eat with whatever you want and how much you want. the second named empal gentong is a beef soup, the characteristic is the soup cooked with firewood in gentong (Indonesian for clay pot). the third is lengko/sega lengko, the picture taken half-finished eaten, sorry for that. in this food, the rice served with boiled bean sprout, fried tempeh, fried tofu, cucumber, leeks, fried onion, and peanut sauce (spicy or not depend on request). well, actually this lengko is usually served with satay too, in another dish. and the fourth is not original from Cirebon, it is yogurt that we bought in a mall. :))

We also stopped by at batik shop Trusmi, it's a must visited place, to buy a souvenir from cirebon. there is many kind of batik, mega mendung is the famous one. we did not have picture there because we were so excited to shop. :D

advice from me if you go to Cirebon is bring a fan, the weather there is so hot. *fanning
